The full operation of the South Bypass of the Tamoios Highway has significantly improved access to the Port of São Sebastião, reducing travel time from Caraguatatuba from 45 to 16 minutes. The 22.7 km route, featuring tunnels and engineering structures, enhances safety and efficiency, even in poor weather. This infrastructure upgrade boosts logistics performance, cuts costs, and makes the port more attractive for new business. It also improves road-port integration, supporting intermodal cargo flow. Equipped with advanced monitoring technologies, the project strengthens regional development and has already created 2,000 jobs, backed by R$3 billion in investments since 2021.
