SUPER TERMINAIS RECOGNIZED FOR EFFORTS TO AMEND DROUGHT WOES IN AMAZONAS

Super Terminais, a private terminal in the Manaus Industrial Hub, received recognition from the State Government of Amazonas for its role in Operation Itacoatiara, which ensures regional industrial supply. Director Marcello di Gregorio accepted the honor, noting the terminal’s impressive achievements since September 12: handling over 19,000 containers and 417,000 tonnes of cargo at 30 moves per hour. This project, carried out at a 300,000-square-meter site with a floating pier, operates seasonally and is crucial for maintaining supply during the Amazon River’s low-water period. State Secretary Serafim Corrêa commended public-private efforts to combat drought challenges. The operation runs 24/7 with continuous transshipment from Itacoatiara to Manaus, featuring advanced cranes and infrastructure, enabling efficient and resilient logistics.
