SUGAR SHIPMENTS REMAIN ABOVE 3 MILLION

Williams Brasil reported that 88 vessels were set to load 3.247 million tons of sugar at Brazilian ports in the week ending June 4, a slight dip from the prior week’s 3.386 million tons. Santos Port handled the bulk of shipments at 2.16 million tons, with Paranaguá and other regional ports accounting for the remainder. Most of the cargo was VHP sugar, primarily the Cristal B150 and Refined A45 varieties. Brazil’s sugar exports in May totaled 2.26 million tons, generating USD 1.003 billion in revenue at an average price of USD 444.90 per ton. Compared to May 2024, average daily revenue dropped by 28%, while total shipment volume fell by 19%, indicating weaker prices and demand. The report covers ships currently anchored, on standby, or expected to arrive by July 13.
