SUGAR PRICES SHOW VARIED TRENDS AMID BRAZIL’S WEATHER-DRIVEN MARKET

On Monday 9, sugar quotes began trading on the New York and London markets with a range of variances. The changes in sugar’s futures have considered the likelihood of rain in the Brazilian producing regions, according to João Baggio, CEO of G7 Agro Consultoria. Baggio noted that Brazil led sugar to the world market this year. “I think that Brazil, the biggest player, will be the largest exporter of sugar again this year as we move into the 2024-25 and 2025-26 harvests,” he said, adding that Brazil sold a lot this year since it was the only player in the world with sugar.
