SUGAR EXPORTS IN THE MONTH INCREASE 28.5% IN VOLUME AND 16% IN REVENUE COMPARED TO JULY 2023

In July 2024, Brazil exported 3.782 million tons of sugar and molasses, a 28.5% increase from July 2023’s 2.944 million tons. Revenue rose 16% annually, from $1.491 billion to $1.729 billion, despite the average price per ton falling 9.7%, from $506.30 to $457.20. Data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex) showed 23 working days in July 2024 compared to 21 in July 2023. From January to July 2024, Brazil exported 20.542 million tons of sugar, up 45% from 14.167 million tons in the same period of 2023, with revenue increasing 52.70%, from $6.801 billion to $10.385 billion.
