A delegation from the Suape Industrial Port Complex is touring Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia to attract investment and establish direct maritime links with ASEAN markets. The mission promotes logistics and energy transition projects, including a new container terminal with APM Terminals and industrial infrastructure tied to regional growth. Data from the National Waterway Transportation Agency (Antaq) show ASEAN is already a key trade partner for Brazilian ports. Meetings with operators such as PSA International and energy group Petronas aim to expand partnerships, diversify trade flows and position northeastern Brazil as a logistics hub for industrial development and energy transition.
