The use of agricultural pesticides in Brazil is expected to rise 3.4% in 2025, with the Potential Treated Area (PAT) surpassing 2.6 billion hectares, according to a Kynetec Brasil survey for Sindiveg. The increase is driven by intensified pest and disease control in corn and soybean crops. Total pesticide volume should grow 4.9%, with herbicides representing 45% of use, followed by fungicides (24%) and insecticides (23%). Soybeans account for 55% of treated areas, followed by corn (18%) and cotton (8%). Mato Grosso and Rondônia lead with 32% of national treatment, followed by Bamatopiba (18%) and São Paulo–Minas Gerais (13%).
