SOYBEAN HARVEST IN BRAZIL REACHES 16% OF THE AREA, SAYS AGRURAL

As of last Thursday (1), the harvest of the 2023-24 soybean crop in Brazil had reached 16% of the planted area, surpassing the previous week’s 11% and the 9% of the same period last year. The work is being led by Mato Grosso and Paraná, with the second-highest rate for this season, following the record of 19% in the 2018-19 harvest. However, AgRural consultant warns of potential climatic consequences, such as heat and a lack of rainfall, particularly in the south of Brazil, which might result in production losses if they continue in February.
