SOYBEAN HARVEST 2025/2026 EXPECTED TO GENERATE BRL 775 MILLION IN BRAZIL’S FEDERAL DISTRICT

The Federal District has officially begun planting the 2025/2026 soybean crop, expected to generate around BRL 775 million and up to BRL 1 billion in income. Governor Ibaneis Rocha highlighted the region’s strategic role in soybean production, as over 40% of its output is used for seed cultivation. According to the Agriculture Secretariat, the planted area should exceed 90,000 hectares, with an average yield above 3.6 tons per hectare and a total harvest near 331,000 tons. The crop involves over a thousand producers across 600 farms and remains the leading force of the local agribusiness, with exports reaching countries such as Pakistan.
