SOYBEAN AND CORN HARVEST EXCEEDS 95% OF PLANTED AREAS IN PARANÁ

Soybean harvesting in Paraná has reached 95% of the planted area, maintaining the production estimate at 21 million tons, with 91% of the crops in good condition. First-crop corn has also reached 95% completion, while 99% of the second-crop corn has already been sown, despite an increase in poor-quality crops from 9% to 12%. The second-crop bean harvest has begun, but only 1% of the area has been harvested so far. Second-crop potato harvesting is progressing, with 20% of the area cleared, but producer prices remain low. The harvest of fruits such as avocado, banana, and passion fruit is underway, while irrigated rice shows good prospects. Coffee fruiting is advancing, but high temperatures may accelerate ripening.
