SOUTHERN PORTS HANDLE RECORD 108.4 MILLION TONS

Between January and October 2025, port handling in Brazil’s South Region reached 108.4 million tons, a 7.41% increase compared to the same period in 2024, according to data from the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq). This strong performance was primarily driven by solid bulk, which totaled 65.3 million tons, a 1.65% rise. Containerized cargo also showed robust growth, reaching 25.9 million tons, up 23.48%. Additionally, liquid bulk reached 6.2 million tons, growing 10.18%, and general cargo rose 9.13% to 11.0 million tons.
