SIGNIFICANT GROWTH IN ARGENTINA-BRAZIL TRADE IN SEPTEMBER

Bilateral trade between Argentina and Brazil reached $2.73 billion in September 2024, a 27.1% increase from $2.15 billion in September 2023, as reported by the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC). This rise was fueled by a 29.2% increase in Argentine exports to Brazil, totaling $1.27 billion, and a 25.4% rise in imports, amounting to $1.45 billion, leading to a trade deficit of $182 million for Argentina. In the first nine months of 2024, Argentina recorded a trade deficit of $56 million. Brazil’s total exports increased by 0.3% to $28.79 billion, while imports surged by 19.9%. The Central Bank of Brazil projected a GDP growth of 3.0% for 2024 and an inflation rate increase to 4.38%.
