SHIPMENTS OF SUGAR SOAR ABOVE 4 MILLION TONS AGAIN

In the week ending July 17, 87 ships were waiting to load sugar in Brazilian ports, down slightly from 89 the previous week. A total of 4.254 million tons are scheduled, of which the majority will go through the Port of Santos (3.152 million). The most exported type is VHP (4.180 million tons). In July, the average daily revenue from both molasses and sugar exports was USD 80.717 million, with a volume of 174.865 thousand tons. Revenue and volume rose 13.7% and 24.7%, respectively, while average prices declined 8.8% from July 2023.
