SCPAR TAKES OVER MANAGEMENT OF LAGUNA PORT UNDER 25-YEAR DEAL

The Port of Laguna will now be managed by SCPar Porto de Imbituba for the next 25 years, replacing oversight by the company’s Florianópolis headquarters. The new agreement, signed with the Ministry of Ports and Airports (MPA) and Antaq, updates the original 2020 arrangement. According to the MPA, the transfer was made due to the geographical proximity of the two ports, which allows greater integration and potential complementarity of activities. By 2026, a detailed project will be developed to assess the need for dredging and rock removal, as well as to estimate the costs of these works.
