The São Sebastião Dock Company (CDSS) announced that terminal SSB01 will be leased by the end of 2025, covering 261,941 m² of onshore and offshore areas. The 35-year concession, with an estimated R$ 660 million investment by the private partner, aims to quadruple handling capacity to 4.3 million tonnes annually. The terminal will remain multipurpose, handling dry bulk, general cargo, and containers. Complementary infrastructure includes a new direct access road from the South Bypass to the port, funded with over R$ 55 million, and Port Logistics Support Areas (AALPs) to optimize cargo flow, parking, and access. Dredging began in July, with 22,000 m³ of sediment removed so far (38% progress) and completion expected in October, ensuring a 10-meter operational depth. The project anticipates a fivefold increase in truck traffic along the Tamoios Highway, enhancing logistics efficiency, traffic flow, and environmental conditions.
