SÃO PAULO’S WHEAT HARVEST SET TO SURPASS 400 THOUSAND TONS IN 2025

The Wheat Sectorial Chamber of São Paulo held its final meeting of 2025, highlighting a record harvest estimated at around 400 thousand tons, surpassing the initial forecast of 350 thousand. The harvest is also noted for its high quality, driven by ideal weather and genetic improvements. The event, hosted at the Castrolanda Cooperative and broadcast by Sindustrigo, brought together sector representatives who underscored São Paulo’s strategic, integrated chain linking production, milling, and consumption. While the state’s performance is robust, Brazil still relies on imports to satisfy domestic demand as the global market recovers. The meeting also featured the “Tracking – Origin of Wheat from Associados” survey, highlighting the industry’s focus on traceability, quality, and regional value.
