SÃO PAULO 2025/26 CROP SEEN RISING ON CORN, SOYBEAN AND COFFEE

São Paulo’s 2025/26 crop is expected to expand, supported by corn, soybean and coffee output, according to state data. First corn crop is forecast at 2.01 million tonnes (+38% y/y), with gains in area (+23.1%) and yields (+12.2%). Soybean production is projected at 4.57 million tonnes (+11%), with record yields of 3,663 kg/ha. Coffee output is estimated at 4.7 million 60-kg bags, with yields up 5.7% despite a slight area decline. In contrast, 2024/25 orange and sugarcane crops show declines: citrus area fell 9.5%, affected by greening, while sugarcane output totaled 390.9 million tonnes (-4.6%), with reduced area and marginal yield growth.
