The Santos Port Authority (APS) issued a call for interest in the lease of area STS 08 on the right bank of the port, situated in Alemoa and designated for liquid bulk cargo, particularly fuels. The announcement, made on Wednesday (27/12), is supported by the recent delegation of powers to APS for bidding, managing, and deciding on concessions. According to Anderson Pomini, President of APS, the offering of STS 08 underscores the competence of the public authority: “The public port authority has the duty to plan the growth of the port, given the historical deficit in installed capacity for liquid bulk handling at the Port of Santos,” he stated. “The lease of area STS 08 brings expectations of generating new job opportunities during the contractual period, including direct and indirect employment and income effects,” Pomini added.
