SAFRAS: SOUTH-CENTRAL BRAZIL SUMMER CORN HARVEST TO HIT 25.48 MILLION TONS

Brazil’s south-central region is forecast to produce 25.476 million tons of corn for the 2025-26 summer crop, an increase from the previous season’s 24.727 million, according to Safras & Mercado. The consultancy attributes this expected growth to a slight rise in average yield, from 7,068 to 7,072 kilograms per hectare, coupled with a 3% expansion in the planted area to 3.602 million hectares.
