SAFRA PLAN 24/25: EQUALIZED RESOURCES REACH BRL 138 BILLION

The Safra Plan 24/25 will provide BRL 138.2 billion in equalized resources for small, medium, and large producers, nearly the same as the previous year’s initial announcement, which was reduced to BRL 108 billion. The Union budget for subsidizing rural credit interest increased to BRL 16.3 billion, but costs rose due to higher bank spreads. Family farmers will receive BRL 45.4 billion, slightly more than the previous BRL 42.4 billion, but remanagements reduced this to BRL 34.6 billion. The Safra Plan for businesses will have BRL 92.8 billion, 9.5% less than last year. The Family Farming Safra Plan offers BRL 76 billion through Pronaf, with the Business Agriculture Plan set to be announced.
