RS 2024/25 HARVEST: SOYBEAN HARVEST ADVANCES TO 24%

The soybean harvest in Rio Grande do Sul advanced from 11% to 24%, with an average yield of 2,240 kg/ha. Some areas suffer economic losses, while others exceed 4,000 kg/ha due to adequate rainfall. Harvesting difficulties arise from uneven plant maturation and low grain moisture, increasing mechanical damage. March’s drought threatens yields in flowering crops (35%). Corn harvest reached 80%, with an estimated yield of 6,866 kg/ha, down 3.5% due to drought. Despite water stress, grain quality remains high. Tomato harvest progresses well in Caxias do Sul, with stable prices.
