RIO GRANDE DO SUL HARVESTS HALF OF THE SOYBEAN CROP EXPECTED FOR 2023-24

Soybean farmers in Rio Grande do Sul have harvested 49% of the expected 2023-24 crop, with an increase from the previous week. The progress was mainly due to the forecast of rainfall, especially in the North and West areas of the state, where it reached 70%. However, Emater notes that these rains could harm the remaining zones, resulting in a decline in output. Despite this, the crop output surpassed expectations, with an average of 3,339 kg per hectare, which is a substantial rise from the previous harvest.
