Representatives of 14 corn ethanol-producing industries met with members of the National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels Agency (ANP), in Sinop (MT), to discuss efficiency and agility in process regulation. The initiative was promoted by the National Union of Corn Ethanol (Unem). The executive president of Unem Guilherme Nolasco said that the exchange of experiences could bring more agility to processes. Unem expects corn ethanol production to rise from the current 4.5 billion liters in the 2022/23 season to 10 billion liters in 2030/31, reaching 22% of the Brazilian ethanol market. The country currently has an installed production capacity of 5 billion liters per year.
