RAINS SPUR BRAZIL SOYBEAN SOWING, HITS 3.2% OF AREA

According to AgRural, favorable rainfall and the conclusion of the sanitary break in more states increased the sowing of Brazil’s 2025-26 soybean crop, which reached 3.2% of the projected area by September 25. This compares to 0.9% the prior week and 2% at the same time in 2024. Summer corn planting, on the other hand, covered 32% of the projected area in the Center-South, up from 25% a week before and 30% a year earlier. Both corn and soybean crops continue to be aided by rains in the country’s southern regions, which are supporting planting activities and initial development.
