RAINS SHOULD FAVOR THE START OF THE 2025/26 GRAIN HARVEST AND ALLEVIATE DROUGHT

Soil moisture in Brazil’s Center-South producing regions is expected to recover starting Tuesday, October 14, ending weeks of dryness, according to EarthDaily’s climate projections. The company forecasts more regular rainfall in Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, and southern Paraná until mid-October, signaling a positive shift for the summer planting season. Analyst Felippe Reis said the trend marks a gradual transition from drought to balanced conditions. Rainfall will mainly benefit Mato Grosso, Goiás, Minas Gerais, and São Paulo, while Mato Grosso do Sul will see less rain in the short term. Cooler temperatures should also reduce water loss. Despite recent dryness, Mato Grosso remains stable for planting, but Goiás faces its lowest humidity in a decade, likely slowing sowing. Paraná shows mixed conditions: drought in the north and adequate moisture in the south.
