Recent favorable weather with ample rainfall and suitable temperatures has supported the recovery and growth of corn crops across Rio Grande do Sul, as reported by Emater/RS. The state’s projected corn silage area is 366,067 hectares, with an estimated yield of 38,338 kg/ha. Soybean planting is nearing completion, having covered 96% of the planned 6.7 million hectares. Currently, 87% of the crops are in vegetative development and 13% has reached flowering. Rice cultivation is also predominantly in the vegetative stage, with an estimated area of 920,081 hectares and an initial yield forecast of 8,752 kg/ha.
