Corn and soybean sales in Mato Grosso rose in July, driven by higher prices and the need to free storage space. IMEA reported that 62% of the 2024/25 corn crop has been sold, up 11.95 points from June, with prices averaging R$43.78/bag (+2.88%). Exports reached 1.18 million tons (+625.83% vs. June) but were 59.02% below July 2024. Soybean sales hit 88.72% of the 2024/25 crop (+6.79 points), at R$117.93/bag (+5.09%), though still slower than last year. Crushing reached a record 1.18 million tons in July (+12.7% y/y), totaling 7.90 million tons year-to-date. IMEA projects 12.99 million tons processed in 2025, despite a 14.93% drop in crushing margins.
