The 2023 Environmental Development Index (IDA), released by the National Waterway Transport Agency (Antaq), presented results that reaffirm the environmental commitment of Private Use Terminals (TUPs) in Brazil. One of the highlights was the exceptional performance of TUPs focused on container and mineral bulk handling, which led the scores across all categories, surprising with significant environmental progress. With an average score of 84.5 points, container TUPs registered a 1.1% growth compared to the previous year, reaffirming their environmental efficiency. A major standout was the Port of Itapoá in Santa Catarina, which achieved an impressive score of 98.33.
