PR 2024/25 HARVEST: HARVESTS CONTINUE TO ADVANCE

The soybean harvest in Paraná progressed last week due to favorable weather conditions, although losses continue, mainly due to a water deficit. If weather remains favorable, the harvest should speed up. The first corn crop is on track, but rain forecast for next week could delay progress. The second corn crop is facing delays due to dry conditions, leading to low soil moisture and potential replanting. Bean crops are struggling with a lack of rain and whitefly infestations, which require constant pesticide applications. Wheat planting is delayed as soybean crops are still maturing, and many producers are opting for oats instead due to better cost-efficiency.
