PORTS OF PARANÁ BOOSTS EMERGENCY RESPONSE WITH BRL 27 MILLION HIGH-TECH INVESTMENT

The Port of Paranaguá’s Emergency Readiness and Response Center (CPRE) has received BRL 27 million in investments for updating its building and equipment, replacing the outdated Environmental Protection Center. The CPRE, which was presented in a ceremony at the pier, expands its operations to fight fires, chemical and oil leaks, rescue wildlife, and assist the Civil Defense. It has a 24-hour trained team and new resources such as a contemporary fire engine, boats, specialized clothing, and an animal oil spill cleanup facility. The initiative enhances the safety and sustainability of Paraná’s ports in the face of increased cargo handling.
