PORT OF SÃO SEBASTIÃO TO GAIN NEW BERTH

The Port of São Sebastião on São Paulo’s northern coast plans to add a new pier, allowing it to accommodate up to three ships simultaneously. The project, developed by Infra S.A., aims to lease port areas to the private sector and includes two new berths, one for larger ships and another for vessels with a draft of up to 14 meters. The proposal is under review by Antaq, with public consultations pending. The São Paulo government seeks to extend its management contract until 2057. The port recently set a record, moving 760,000 tons of cargo, including bulk sugar and petroleum coke, and plans further infrastructure enhancements.
