PORT OF SALVADOR UNDERGOES SUSTAINABLE RENOVATION WITH A BUDGET OF MORE THAN BRL 13 MILLION

The Docks Company of the State of Bahia (CODEBA) is renovating the dock in the Port of Salvador to meet future international sustainability requirements and cut carbon emissions. The initiative involves electrification, rainwater drainage, sewage facilities expansion, and paving over 18,000 square meters with interlocking flooring at the port. Antonio Gobbo, CEO of CODEBA, stated that the project aims to enhance operational conditions, improve efficiency and safety, and align with ESG policies. With a budget of BRL 13.4 million, the project is set to be completed in September, aiming for environmental certification and modernizing the port infrastructure to meet market demands and international conventions.
