PORT OF PARANAGUA AUCTION TO SERVE AS MODEL FOR FUTURE SALES, SAYS MINISTER

This is the first global auction of its kind. The Galheta Dredging Channel Consortium (CCGD) won the BRL 1.22 billion bid to deepen the draft from 13.5 to 15.5 meters. This will enable the port to accommodate larger vessels and boost cargo capacity. The minister said the move will boost Paraná’s economy and port industry. The Rio de Janeiro Offshore Terminal and Maceió passenger terminal auctions were also mentioned by Costa Filho.
