PORT OF ITAJAÍ GROWS 59% IN FEBRUARY, STRENGTHENING OPERATIONAL RECOVERY

The Port of Itajaí handled 452,000 tonnes in February, up 59% year-on-year, signaling a strong operational recovery and reinforcing its role in Brazil’s logistics landscape. Container volumes reached 42,039 TEUs, reflecting increased demand and improved activity levels. Year-to-date, the port has handled 858,803 tonnes, maintaining a positive trajectory driven by efficiency gains, service resumption, and its strategic location. The performance highlights the port’s repositioning as a key hub in Southern Brazil, supporting regional development and integration with major logistics corridors.
