PETROBRAS INCREASES OIL PRODUCTION IN BRAZIL BY 7.6% IN THE 2ND QUARTER OF 2025

Petrobras’ oil production in Brazil rose 7.6% in Q2 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 2.32 million barrels per day (bpd), driven by new FPSO units and pre-salt output growth. Production also increased 4.8% over Q1. Notably, the FPSOs Duque de Caxias, Alexandre de Gusmão, and Almirante Tamandaré contributed significantly. The pre-salt layer alone yielded 1.97 million bpd, up 8.8% year-over-year. Total oil and gas output (Brazil and abroad) reached 2.91 million barrels of oil equivalent/day, a 7.8% increase. Oil exports climbed 6% to 690,000 bpd, with China receiving 54%. Refining utilization was stable at 91%. Diesel imports surged, anticipating higher demand, though sales dropped due to lower agricultural consumption. Gasoline sales rose 3.1% year-over-year.
