PETROBRAS AND EMBRAPA JOIN FORCES FOR INNOVATIVE RESEARCH IN SUSTAINABLE ENERGY SOLUTIONS

With an eye toward low-carbon bioproducts and biofuels, Petrobras and Embrapa signed a partnership agreement to develop studies and technological solutions in renewable raw materials. Petrobras will focus on technologies and industrial units, while Embrapa will develop sustainable agricultural protocols, such as low-carbon crops, including soybeans and alternatives such as corn and abyssinian mustard. Working on decarbonizing, the alliance also aims to develop new sustainable fertilizers. The investment supports agriculture and the energy transition while strengthening Brazil’s autonomy in food and fertilizer production.
