Silvio Costa Filho, Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports, took part in the sanction of Bill 2308/2023, so establishing the legal framework for low-carbon hydrogen, at the Pecém Industrial and Port Complex, in Fortaleza. Signed by the president, the law ranks the Port of Pecém among the most competitive worldwide in green hydrogen. The port handled 17 million tons in 2023 and might reach 19 million in 2024.
