Paranaguá has recently added a new area for fertilizer classification. The new facility is located inside the FastFrete yard, which belongs to the FTSpar Group. The classification process guarantees the quality of the imported fertilizers. The grading procedure ensures that imported fertilizers are of excellent quality. The overall volume reached 3,924,395 tons in the first five months of the year, with the bulk coming from Russia (20.4%), China (19.7%), Canada (18.6%), and the United States (8.8%). According to the State of Paraná’s Agricultural Fertilizer and Corrective Industry Union (Sindiadubos), the amount landing in Paranaguá by the end of the year is expected to reach 9 million tons.
