With a 2025-2026 Crop Plan of BRL 597.1 billion, Paraná proposed to the Brazilian government BRL 121.6 billion more than the previous crop. The plan sets aside BRL 90 billion for family farmers (Pronaf), BRL 86 billion for medium-sized producers (Pronamp), and BRL 417 billion for financing and marketing. In addition to BRL 180.1 billion in investments for warehousing, irrigation, innovation, and sustainable production, the state wants BRL 4 billion for rural insurance and emergency measures for farmers affected by environmental calamities. Changes to financing limits, longer loan terms, and simplified access to guarantee price schemes are also planned. Despite economic challenges and climate change, the project aims to boost agricultural productivity, ensure food security, and keep agribusiness competitive.
