PARANA TO HAVE A RECORD SOYBEAN CROP AFTER CROP FAILURES

Farmers in the state of Paraná are optimistic and preparing to recover after a historic collapse in the 2021/22 crop year. The State should harvest a record soybean crop, surpassing the 20.7 million tons of the 2019–2020 cycle, despite the extension of the cycle brought on by lower-than-average temperatures at the start of sowing and other challenges. The Department of Rural Economics (Deral) estimates that Parana will harvest more than 21 million tons of soybeans, nine million more than during the previous cycle, when production barely surpassed 12 million tons.
