Brazil’s Northern Region is set to receive over BRL 3 billion in investments to upgrade and expand its port infrastructure, with five new Private Use Terminals (TUPs) planned for Pará and Amapá states. This initiative, part of a broader BRL 4.7 billion national investment package, is a collaboration between the Government and private industry. It aims to enhance logistics, create thousands of jobs, and improve cargo movement, particularly for dry and liquid bulk. Barcarena (PA) will see the largest investments, while the Santana Terminal (AP) is slated for a BRL 377 million modernization. The projects are expected to reshape the region’s logistics network and drive local economic development.
