OVER 62 MILLION TONNES OF CARGO HANDLED AT PARANA PORTS

Paraná state-based ports handled 62,213,194 tonnes of cargo between January and November 2024, marking a 5.4% increase compared to the same period last year (59,017,027 tons). Soybean meal ranks among the state’s top exports. Between January and November 2024, 5,885,834 tonnes were exported, a 3% increase from the same period in 2023 (5,701,440 t). Bulk sugar exports also showed significant growth, reaching 5,864,612 tonnes in 2024, a 24% increase over 2023 (4,739,114 tonnes). Imports led the overall growth in cargo handled from January to November 2024, totaling 24,338,899 tonnes—a 21% increase compared to 2023 (20,198,008 tonnes). Fertilizers and containers represented the largest share of this volume.
