According to Comex Stat/MDIC data for the first five months of the 2025-26 harvest, Brazilian orange juice exports have shifted notably, rising to the United States while falling to the traditionally dominant European Union. Shipments to the U.S. reached 162.8 thousand tons, a 25.9% increase compared to the same period last season. In contrast, exports to the European Union totaled 160.6 thousand tons, marking a 25.5% decline. The combination of high-quality juice this harvest and softer EU demand has led to a buildup of inventory within the Brazilian industry. This stock accumulation is now placing downward pressure on the prices paid to orange growers.
