Brazil’s oil production is expected to reach 3.6 million barrels per day (bpd) in 2025, up approximately 6% from the accumulated average of 3.4 million bpd this year through October, according to data from the Brazilian Petroleum Institute (IBP), published this Monday , 16. “We are becoming an increasingly relevant country, not only as an energy power. We are also [relevant] in traditional energy sources,” said IBP president Roberto Ardenghy. The estimate, however, is lower than the projection made by the Ten-Year Energy Expansion Plan (PDE) of the Energy Research Company (EPE), on the horizon up to 2034, which points to a growth of more than 10% in production in the country, to more than 4 million bpd.
