OFF-SEASON CORN REACHES 19.8% OF THE SOWN AREA IN BRAZIL, REPORTS CONAB

According to the National Supply Company (Conab), Brazil’s summer corn cultivation for the 2023/24 cycle reached 95.3% of the estimated area, slightly behind the previous season. Planting progress is most advanced in Rio Grande do Sul. Meanwhile, the harvest of the first corn crop has reached 13.84% of the planted area, with significant progress compared to last week and the previous season, particularly in Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Paraná, and São Paulo. Additionally, planting of the second corn harvest is ahead of last season, with Mato Grosso and Paraná leading in planting winter cereal crops.
