OFF-SEASON CORN HARVEST IN SOUTH-CENTRAL BRAZIL HITS 55% COMPLETION

The 2025 off-season corn harvest in Brazil’s Center-South progressed rapidly due to drier weather, reaching 55% of the area by July 17, up from 40% the previous week, according to AgRural. Despite some regional delays and high grain moisture levels, the harvest has maintained a strong pace with high productivity. AgRural has increased its forecast for Brazil’s total 2024-25 corn production, raising it from 130.6 to 136.3 million tons. This upward revision is largely due to the record-breaking off-season crop, now projected at 108.9 million tons, thanks to exceptional yields in key states like Mato Grosso, Goiás, Paraná, and Mato Grosso do Sul.
