OFF-SEASON CORN HARVEST HITS 40% IN CENTER-SOUTH DURING PEAK WEEK

According to AgRural, 40% of Brazil’s Center-South off-season corn acreage had been harvested by July 10, 2025, representing a 12-point weekly increase – the season’s largest progress. While considerable, this pace falls short of the 74% gathered during the same period in 2024. Recent strong rains and mild temperatures have hastened grain moisture loss, easing fieldwork. Many farmers, however, are opting for natural drying to reduce post-harvest costs, thanks to reliable weather forecasts. Yields are good across the region, with Mato Grosso standing out especially strongly.
