OFF-SEASON CORN HARVEST ADVANCES AT A STRONG PACE IN THE CENTER-SOUTH OF BRAZIL

The 2024 off-season corn harvest in the Center-South of Brazil reached 34% of the cultivated area on Thursday (20). This marks a significant increase from 21% in the previous week and 9% during the same period in 2023, according to a survey by AgRural. The current pace of the harvest, with a 13-percentage point increase compared to the previous week, equivalent to almost 2 million hectares, is the fastest since AgRural began conducting weekly surveys for the off-season in 2013. Mato Grosso and Parana are the driving forces behind this fast-paced growth.
