As of March 21, the soybean harvest in Mato Grosso do Sul reached 86.6%, covering 3.8 million hectares. The southern region leads with 89.8%, followed by the central (85.4%) and northern (75.2%) regions. Water stress affects 51% of the total area. Productivity surveys indicate an increase from 51.7 to 54.4 bags per hectare (+5%), leading to an expected production of 14.686 million tons (+18.9% vs. 2023/24). Over 40 municipalities report below-average yields, with the worst in Glória de Dourados and Douradina, while Cassilândia and Alcinópolis show the highest productivity. Meanwhile, corn planting for the second crop reached 83.3% of monitored areas.
