MONTHLY SUGAR EXPORTS REACH THEIR BEST LEVEL SINCE NOVEMBER, WITH 3.19 MILLION TONS

Brazilian sugar exports rebounded in June, reaching 3.36 million tons—up 50.3% from May and 5.2% year-over-year, marking the highest volume since November 2024. However, despite higher shipments, prices continued to fall. The average price dropped 3.8% in the month and 11.1% annually to US$428.43/ton, reducing June revenue by 6.5% to US$1.44 billion. Raw sugar made up 3.01 million tons, while refined sugar exports declined nearly 20% compared to May. Key buyers included China, Algeria, Nigeria, India, and Saudi Arabia.
